The only thing they have in common, is a female voice at the core.

Hello and welcome to HER Productions.
We are a small company, with big ideas. We are founded by a close-knit team of Manchester-based, female theatre makers. We produce Shakespeare, new writing, verbatim, digital and published plays. If it's right for us and has an important female-identifying voice, we will give it a platform. We are motivated to keep pushing ourselves to generate relevant, important storytelling in whatever form it is best served. |
Why HER and why women?Female creatives are still vastly underrepresented both on and off stage across the UK.
Our industry has much work to do before women have equal representation. As producers, we have always found ourselves drawn to female-led stories, and HER is our way of embracing this. Although we have a female-focus, all our projects seek to empower everyone involved and leave no one behind. Equality is both goal and the journey. We care about safety and compassion. No voice being amplified should leave another silenced. Our Process & PoliciesHER established in 2019, so we are on our own journey and always working to improve.
A HER process is first and foremost: supportive. We want to enjoy what we do and feel looked after whilst doing so. We love creating a safe, happy, inclusive and professional experience, made up of creatives who will work well together & support each other. HER are committed to sustainable practice and continuing to work toward a dedicated environmental policy for all process we embark upon. |
